Inuman session

Posted by Jaemark Tordecilla on September 10, 2009 at 18:51 | Comments (2)
First, I apologize for the lack of updates. Here’s the reason I’ve been busy: A few months ago, when I started working for my current employer, the whole staff drew lots as to which presidentiable to cover. We were each assigned a candidate to keep tabs on and eventually write profiles for. Being new, I was assigned a prospective vice-presidential candidate, which shouldn’t have been much work. The prospective candidate? Noynoy Aquino.

I haven’t been posting mostly because I’ve been working on this feature.

I did not see this coming at all. Neither did you, and if you say you did, you’re lying.

San Beda demolishes JRU, Hitler probably throws another fit

Posted by Jaemark Tordecilla on August 11, 2009 at 17:54 | Comment (1)
I didn't catch the beating that the San Beda gave Jose Rizal University yesterday, but I can't imagine Adolf Hitler being too pleased, if we go by his (hilarious) reaction from the Heavy Bombers loss to the Red Lions in game 3 of the NCAA finals last year.

Noli Eala now using Twitter to push his agenda

Posted by Jaemark Tordecilla on July 13, 2009 at 01:13 | Comments (2)
Noli Eala’s twitter account is mostly harmless, containing updates on his activities as executive director of the country’s national basketball program. Tonight, however, he posted this very interesting tweet: “Some UAAP refs don't deserve to officiate there. They are weak in fundamentals, outdated in interpretation and clearly out of shape.”

Noli Eala tweets

Play-by-play

Posted by Jaemark Tordecilla on July 10, 2009 at 23:41 | Comments (0)
I tuned in to the NCAA replay tonight and was pleasantly surprised to hear that Toff Rada was doing play-by-play for the game. Toff is an old buddy of mine from high school, and the last time we spoke, he told me about how he had been hired by ABS-CBN Sports to do NCAA games last year, but he couldn't start because of a new policy by the station to not let new anchors come in during the middle of the season. I wished him luck, and told him that he couldn't possibly be worse than Andrei Felix.

The 85th edition of the NCAA opened with a bang last Saturday, kicking off the college basketball season. Defending champion San Beda dominated Mapua in the first game, 85-52, while last year's runner-up JRU staved off Letran in the second, 65-62. In the third game that wasn't televised, San Sebastian welcomed their new mentor Ato Agustin with an impressive 76-64 victory over Perpetual Help.
