Smart Gilas success allows Noli Eala to blow hot air once more
Smart Gilas, the developmental basketball team gearing up for the 2011 FIBA-Asia Olympic qualifier, finished a very respectable 5th in the recently concluded FIBA-Asia Champions Cup. It was great to see the team on the right track, and it really does seem

Meet Smart Gilas import CJ Giles
I already said that I was a fan of his work, so I was very disappointed to read Rick Olivarez's half-baked profile of Smart Gilas RP National Basketball Team. In the story, Olivarez kept alluding to the trouble that has hounded Giles throughout his co

Pointing out the strings in the Japeth Aguilar puppet show
I go away for a while, and all hell breaks loose? Apparently, while I was gone, Japeth Aguilar expressed his intention to not sign with Burger King, the team that made him the top overall pick in the 2009 PBA draft, in favor of signing with the Smart Gila

I was watching their quarterfinal game against Qatar kanina and I am really impressed sa pinakita nila, although talo tayo. I think we rallied from, like, 12 pts down in 4th quarter, muntik pa maitabla kung di lang tinawagan ng foul si pretty boy Barroca sa steal nya. I'd rather have this team than the Powerade team.
hey coch... saan mo napanood, streaming? haha. natawa ako kay pretty boy Barocca. i've been meaning to post about *that* pero wala akong mahanap na closeup picture. it's probably for the best
i don't see a reason why we have to choose between rooting for this team and the Powerade Team Pilipinas. pareho naman silang national team diba?
i must admit that, as a PBA-head, i'm more excited about that team. it's so much better than the team Chot Reyes put together in 2007, and you could see that Yeng Guiao has a pretty clear idea about how he wants to play. in their exhibitions, you could also see that the powerade team has another gear that they haven't shown yet, as Yeng's still fiddling about with the rotations.
