Ginebrang Ginebra

I have to hand it to Vintage Enterprises. They really knew how to market the games well, using Robert Jaworski as their icon and putting him as the lead man in almost every single season coverage.
I remember this song first coming out in the 1997 Governor's Cup Finals. I think Vintage was ready to air this as early as Game 4 of the Finals as Gordon's Gin went on a 3-0 tear. Alaska though won the next 2 games. When Gordon's finally nailed the title, Vintage prominently put this at their conference-ending closing billboard.
It takes so much passion and Ginebra pride to come up with a track like this. And definitely a lot of wit which Gary Granada had plenty of. The lyrics encapsulate what a true Ginebra fan experiences - the misery and heartaches of losing (which was aplenty) and the chest-thumping pleasure of every victory.
Thanks Jae for posting this!

i thought never say die spirit died after jaworski left. its no longer the same now. hope its a long series, it will be good for the fans and the pba.
nope.. it is still there.. defeating Smart Gilas in the semis is one proof that it is still there.. the heavily favored Smart Gilas with the 6'10 Marcus Douhit going up against the small BGK with a 6'4 import Nate Brumfield.. but still they went out there and gave everything they got.. that's one sign that the "Never Say Die" spirit is still there..
yup it is still there. They will need a lot of that in the tnt series
ranting for the 'never say die spirit'?
how bout a second look of game 2 PBA finals?=)
agree, they need a generous amount of this..=P

I remember this song playing immediately after the locker-room interviews of that championship-clinching game.
IMO that BGK team was responsible for bringing back the crowds ...... that team had a good core that could've contended for up until the Y2K ....... Aquino, David, Locsin, Hizon, Jarencio, Feihl, Gayoso, Dudut (just kidding).
It was unfortunate that they did not ...... many various reasons e.g. transition to SMC scrutiny, Filshams, trades, injuries, etc
OT: Gary Granada is a fugazi.
