He just Tweeted earlier asking people to pray for Sidorenko who is still in the hospital.
Interesting Donaire wrinkle that I hadn't noticed before: Robert Garcia, Margarito's trainer, is working with Donaire. Not particularly surprising, since Donaire is Cali-based when he's in the States, but after associating Garcia with "the enemy" for a few months, it's weird to see him working with the #2 Pinoy boxer. Of course, it's all business, but what would your ultra-nationalist columnist pals make of Donaire training with the guy whose fighters were cursing Pacquiao and clowning Freddie Roach's Parkinson's?
let them rant all they want. this is pure business.
which led me to that docu on Bio channel on the unbeatable South Korean archers but in the individual women's competitions, got grounded to a halt by Zhang Juanjuan who was coached by a South Korean no less!
would that made the coach a traitor? i believe no.

yeah, that is interesting. in the Philippine broadcast, the announcers (Ronnie Nathanielsz and Dyan Castillejo) barely acknowledged Garcia's presence in Donaire's corner, even though this isn't the first time he's trained the boxer, and a lot of people credit Garcia's work with Donaire's continued improvement. I think everyone's just gonna sweep it under the rug (until you brought it up, hehe) and wait for it to blow over.
Before the hype machine kicked in for the Pacquiao-Margarito fight, there was some fuss about Roach possibly training Sydorenko against Donaire. Now that would have been a HUGE issue.
