Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash has been thrilling his Filipino fans over at Twitter, as he expressed his desire to become an honorary Filipino as he watched Manny Pacquiao's destruction of Ricky Hatton.

Shortly after the fight, Nash posted a message about the sensational knockout: "Pacquiao is the best on the planet. Can we please have Floyd Mayweather Jr v Pacquiao?!"

After a barrage of messages from his Pinoy tweeps, Nash posted: "Big love to all my Filipinos for the AMAZING PACMAN! Love how u support him. I wanna be an honorary Filipino! How do I earn my stripes?"

Once again, his Pinoy twamigos didn't let the Phoenix Suns point guard down with suggestions on how to turn into a bonafide Filipino. Food and music seemed to be on the menu, as Nash tweeted: "Mabuhay!! I'll go have some lumpia and pancit but I want to know your top 3 karaoke requests for me!"

Nash usually spends his offseason in New York, but he began his layoff early this year as the Suns failed to make the playoffs following a disastrous coaching change. As his teams usually go deep in the NBA postseason, Nash spends most of his summer skateboarding across the streets of Manhattan and working out by playing various sports:
