Shit My Coach Says: Wesley Gonzales and Paolo Bugia talk about Yeng Guiao’s insults

I was in Lucena, Quezon this past weekend for my buddy Oliver’s 10-10-10 wedding (congratulations on your first marriage, pare!). Bored during the long drive late Saturday night, I came across a bunch of interesting tweets from Wesley Gonzales and Paolo Bugia talking about the funny shit that comes out of Yeng Guiao’s mouth during games. Gonzales currently plays for Guiao at Air 21, while Bugia was drafted by Guiao’s Red Bull team in 2005.

Gonzales started it all on Saturday morning, telling everyone about the hilarious “pep talk” they received from their coach after Air 21’s loss to San Miguel the night before:

But as Gonzales’ next tweet shows, Yeng Guiao is as good at putting down opponents as he is at insulting his own players:

Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha!

That might be the single funniest PBA-related putdown I’ve ever heard. In a single brilliant sentence, Guiao manages to insult both his players and the opponent. Just fucking hilarious. Also makes me wonder who the “adik” on Barako was. It must have been someone Yeng used to coach.

Crazy Yeng can also apparently be unforgiving when it comes to former players:

Someone should just go attend every Air 21 game and sit behind the Express bench to list down all the funny shit Yeng says on the sideline. Then they could put it on Twitter (@ShitMyCoachSays). Hey, it worked for the guy behind @ShitMyDadSays, whose massive following led to a book deal and a television show.

Feeling ko pag si Yeng Guiao ang nagcoach sa FEU this past UAAP, champion ang FEU. hehe. motivation tactics pa lang, magagalit talaga FEU sa Ateneo. hehe.

Kung si Yeng nagcoach sa Ateneo, mawawala pagka-squeeky-clean image ng Ateneo siguro hehe

for me, the intense basketball game will turn into comedy whenever coach yeng will violently disagree on a ref's call and starts cursing the referee... a couple of times, i think, he was caught on cam saying an expletive to the referee, dinig pa yung sound... medyo high pitch pa yung sigaw nya ng mura nya, which is why i go bananas laughing at it...

i wonder how coach yeng would look like if he's as explosive as coach tim or coach chot whenever they don't like the calls...

Nakasabay ko sa uaap yang si kalbo nung 1981 or 82, super yabang. Akala ko dahil lang sa anak kasi ni Gov Bren Guaio. Natural na mayabang lang pala talaga.
