The PBA Fiesta Conference resumes today after the week-long All-Star festivities, with tournament leader San Miguel putting its undefeated record on the line against Philippine Cup champions Talk N Text.

Apart from having a dynamic import in Gabe Freeman, the Beermen's backcourt has been lights out during the stretch, with Dondon Hontiveros leading the charge. The Cebuano hotshot has not only been playing out of his mind all year, he is also more than friends, but less than lovers with Valerie Concepcion. Nice life, dude!

It's the first meeting between the San Miguel and Talk N Text since their heated best-of-7 semifinal matchup in the past Philippine Cup. That series was memorable because of how the San Miguel fans affected the games, by booing the hell out of Talk N Text star guard Mac Cardona everytime he touched the ball. The booing clearly rattled Cardona during the first few games, which led to subpar outings, though Cardona was able to shake it off and lead Talk N Text to the finals and the eventual championship.

(Why was Cardona being booed, you ask? Because Mac Cardona is an intolerable douchebag.

The opening game of tonight's doubleheader also marks the return of Marquin Chandler for the Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants, who are up against the Coca-Cola Tigers. Chandler should be familiar with the opposition because the Tigers are reinforced by James Penny, whom Chandler beat out for the 2006 Best Import award, and whose Red Bull team beat out Chandler and Purefoods for the 2006 Fiesta Conference championship.
