The last leg of PBA All-Star Week caps off tomorrow evening at the Araneta Coliseum with the Powerade-Team Pilipinas selection going at it with PBA All-Stars. Threatening to steal the show, however, is the slam dunk competition, which on paper could be the best slam dunk event the league has ever had.

Last year's champ, Kelly Williams, is a late scratch because of food poisoning, but the rest of the cast is still made of win. KG Canaleta, the three-time champion who missed last year's contest due to injury, is back to reclaim his crown with moves like these:



His main challenger would be this season's no. 1 overall pick, Gabe Norwood, who put on a show in last year's PBL slam dunk contest:



To spice things up, Ginebra import and 2006 slam dunk NCAA champion David Noel is joining the fray. San Miguel's high-flying import Gabe Freeman and Fil-ams Jay Washington (San Miguel) and Jared Dillinger (Talk N Text) round out the cast.

As much as I'm looking forward to these guys competing though, I'm a tad disappointed that the little guys are not part of the contest. Anyone who watches the games live would know that some of the league's point guards put on a hell of a show during the layup lines. After the jump, layup line dunks by Jimmy Alapag and Paul Artadi.
