It's not easy for Purefoods to change coaches that easily. San Miguel management, being the owner of Purefoods, has the final say.
that's true. it's up to san miguel management, and if they decide that ryan should be gone, he will be.
cases in point:
2005 - chot reyes leaves coke to coach the national team, biboy ravanes takes over. after a disappointing stint, smc assigns eric altamirano and then binky favis to take over the team.
2007 - with chot reyes' return to coach, smc shuffles their coaches, transferring chot to san miguel, jong uichico to ginebra, and demoting siot tanquincen back to being jong's assistant. later that year, when chot left to coach the national team (and after biboy ravanes' doing badly in an interim capacity), siot transfers to san miguel to take over head coaching duties.
so yeah, it's gonna take management decision to change coaches, but in your opinion, do you think management is content with the team's string of bad performances? the prime years of yap and raymundo (and villanueva and simon) are being wasted.

Purefoods management and the coaching staff was too impatient in letting Jhamar Thorpe develop. Because of Chandler coming in, Thorpe was pulled out of the Slam Dunk event at the All-Star Game today.

But that was three years ago, and in Chandler's last stint with the team in 2007, Purefoods was eliminated in the wildcard stages of the tournament. The conference marked the start of an alarming trend for the proud franchise, who have failed to make it out of the wildcard stages in three of the last four PBA tournaments. The Purefoods lineup features superstars James Yap and Kerby Raymundo--the duo have been gangbusters so far for the Powerade-Team Pilipinas selection tapped to play in this year's FIBA-Asia qualifier for next year's World Basketball Championships--but the talent has not translated to wins. Things hit rock-bottom in the last Philippine Cup when
