Brian Viloria and Nonito Donaire knocked out their opponents in contrasting fashions Sunday morning. Viloria stopped IBF light flyweight champion Ulises Solis in the eleventh round, while Donaire thoroughly dominated previously undefeated Raul Martinez en route to 4th round TKO to retain his IBO/IBF Flyweight title.

Prior to the fight, the knock on Viloria was all about his desire. As this preview on MaxBoxing pointed out, Viloria has all the physical tools to become a dominant boxer, but hasn't cashed in on his potential. This was perhaps his last chance to catch that bus, and he delivered brilliantly.

Donaire, on the other hand, needed a dominating victory to strengthen his reign as the best flyweight in the world. The man he beat for the title, Vic Darchinyan, has been ducking him, severely limiting his options for a big money fight, and this rousing victory should help his situation. According to the report, Donaire used his deadly left hook to dominate Martinez, the same left hook he used to beat the crap out of Darchinyan, and the very punch that led to Donaire's fifth round KO of the Raging Bull.

Ring Magazine hailed the exchange as Knockout of the Year, and watching the video again, it's easy to see why.
